About the Attorney

Johnn Osborn.

Founder of Land of Enchantment Law. Former Assistant District Attorney with more than a decade of New Mexico courtroom experience. Now helping New Mexicans clear their records — and representing clients in criminal defense, business, and professional matters across the state.

Johnn Osborn founded Land of Enchantment Law on a simple belief: every New Mexican deserves access to high-quality legal representation. He brings professionalism, integrity, and a genuine commitment to his clients to every matter he handles — whether protecting a small business, defending someone's freedom, or helping a professional navigate a legal challenge that could affect their livelihood.

A career rooted in public service

Johnn's legal career is defined by more than a decade of public service to the people of New Mexico. From 2010 to 2021, he served as an Assistant District Attorney, prosecuting a wide range of cases and developing an intimate understanding of how New Mexico's justice system actually works — and where it can do better. Within multiple District Attorney offices, he rose to senior leadership as both Chief Deputy and Deputy District Attorney, using those roles to champion treatment-focused and diversion-based programs that prioritize rehabilitation and second chances over punishment alone.

That experience on the other side of the courtroom gives Johnn a perspective few defense and business attorneys can offer. He knows how prosecutors think, how cases are built, and what it takes to achieve the best possible outcome for his clients.

Committed to the New Mexico legal community

Johnn remains deeply invested in the strength of New Mexico's legal profession. He currently serves as Chair of the New Mexico Bar Association Historical Committee. His prior involvement includes the Bar Ethics Committee, the New Mexico Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the New Mexico District Attorney's Association, and the New Mexico Cannabis Law Section. He approaches every case with a breadth of engagement that reflects his dedication to ethical practice, professional growth, and meaningful legal reform across the state.

Beyond the office

When he's not advocating for clients, Johnn can be found fly fishing the high-country streams of New Mexico's mountains, camping with family and friends, and exploring the vast wilderness of the Gila. His love for New Mexico runs deep — and it's one more reason he is dedicated to serving the people who call it home.
